This was my first time coming there and I absolutely ENJOYED MY TIME! And what makes it even better? My Food was absolutely delicious! And when I tell you that the employees were so direct and friendly??! I had already place in my mind that I wanted some grits, eggs and bacon because that's what I normally get, but let me say, anything that you get from here is great. I had something like a breakfast sampler. Prices are not too high at all. Restrooms are clean. And I can only imagine on a cool Carolina Morning, how it be to sit outside in that beautiful patio they have... Great Restaurant to try, especially if you want something different.

Stopped in for lunch. Got the Cuban sandwich with potato salad. It’s a big turn off to eat warm or hot potato salad. Most salads are mayo based and need to stay cold. Mine was warm and caused me to not enjoy it like I should, left most of it due to I don’t want to get sick. The sandwich was just that, nothing extra or crazy. I feel they can do a lot better. Don’t think I will return. As for service, th y take your order, bring you your plate and that’s it. No drink refills or ask if you need anything else.

So I ordered brisket, eggs and an avocado as I usually do. It was a few minutes after noon so I was told I couldn’t have eggs. No problem. So I was paying and lifted my box, it felt very light. I opened it up, showing it to the cashier. I asked her if I could please have more brisket. She took by box back to the manager, Jasmine. I observed Jasmine tossing her hands in the air and shrugging her shoulders. Over and over again. The cashier came back to me, “Sorry I’m told that is a serving size and we can give you any more.” I asked for the managers name. Thank you Jasmine for reminding me what bad customer service looks like. And as a neighboring business owner who frequents your restaurant and refers customers to your establishment, I will no longer.

Excellent experience at the Blue Surf Cafe. I was visiting my son for the weekend, and we were looking for a simple, cost-effective restaurant for lunch. This place was great. We highly recommend it.

My partner and I tried this place today and though it was pretty packed, our food came out fast and the staff was friendly. My partner had the Havana Bowl. It looked nice and tasted good, but it was a bit heavy on the black beans. I had the Home Style Breakfast Plate, which is your classic breakfast plate, nothing too exciting. The only downside was that both my partner and I thought the bacon was overcooked and salty, but that could just be personal preference. We also tried the waffle with caramelized bananas, yogurt, and almonds. It had a kind of pumpkin spice twist to it that I didn’t realize , but didn’t mind. Initially, the waffle was drenched in syrup (pictured below) , so I asked for them to remake it with the syrup in the side, after that it was perfect. (also pictured below) We also brought our dog and sat outside, which was great. I’d recommend Blue Surf for a casual brunch with decent food and friendly staff, but it’s not a place I’d be rushing back to.
